Jamiroquai on sparkling form last night getting the whole O2 arena up on their steel heels to dance. Jay's range of fab hats have inspired me for my daughter's wedding next year. But I might rethink the glitter onesie. #donttellthebride #cosmicgirl #Jamiroquai

The spectacular ROH production of The Nutcracker is the most Christmassy treat; I love it, despite the stage tree refusing to grow at one stage! Their tree in the bar designed by Paul Smith is worth parking the sleigh for too and is free ! youtu.be/KQJ_u7XnIfk?si… via @YouTube

Robert Plant in fine, evocative voice tonight at the Royal Festival Hall. Unsurprisingly, highlights for the audience were favourites from the Zeppelin playbook The Rain Song and Ramble On, given new life with an interesting mix of instruments played by Saving Grace. #RobertPlant

The Museum of Homelessness reports that 1611 people experiencing homelessness died in 2024. That's a 9% increase on the previous year. That's four needless deaths a day. 11 were children. Find out more about their work & support their winter appeal here justgiving.com/campaign/mohwi…

In memory of Edvin, who we commemorated this morning alongside over 200 others whose lives were cut short due to homelessness in London. 150 names were read out @smitf_london, but there were more casualties whose names we may never know. Rough sleeping has risen 91% since 2021.

I love Saville's depiction of Mothers in this self-portrait of her, heavily pregnant with 2 wriggly toddlers, drawn & erased repeatedly then applying layers of paint to evoke energy, movement and disorder.

#LastChance to catch Jenny Saville's monumental portraits at the NPG & her authentic approach to the female form - here in Plan, a striking, foreshortened self-portrait where lines have been surgically cut into thick impasto flesh to resemble the contours of a map. Ends tomorrow.

The exhibition includes personal artefacts which add to the house's unique atmosphere and biographical narrative. It was a particular delight to witness his witty signature depicting a mallard in a private letter - a riff on his middle name Joseph Mallord William Turner.

I was privileged to enjoy a private view of JMW Turner's exquisite animal portraits with the art historian Nicola Moorby last night. Nicola has curated the current exhibition @TurnersHouse, giving a fascinating insight into an unusual aspect of Turner's practice & personality.

Sheer pleasure photographing 2B Or Not 2B Collective’s life class at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery's Thursday Late, celebrating South Asian Heritage. This is one of my favourite images so I'm thrilled Eastern Eye included it on their homepage here. easterneye.biz/london-officia…

2 more watercolours by JMW Turner will feature in Sotheby's July 2 auction - a Study of a Beech tree from circa 1795 and not seen since 1929, and & Lake of Geneva from Above Vevey, a watercolour commissioned by Walter Fawkes in 1809 that last appeared at auction in 1890.

I was fortunate to have a private view of it with Director of Sotheby's Mark Griffith-Jones. He explained how its discovery was rewriting art history, as it is now thought to be the first oil Turner exhibited publicly, aged 18, in 1793 at the RA’s annual exhibition, signed W.
