[📄] ATTRAKT lost the lawsuit they filed against the SBS Unanswered Questions episode that aired two years ago.
The episode put into light the ablume members and Keena’s mistreatment. ATTRAKT filed a lawsuit for defamation; the court dismissed its claim and ordered them to pay the legal costs.

When parents brought food, the CEO threw the dishes across the living room and told the members to pick them up and throw them in the trash.
ATTRAKT countered that it was not the CEO but a The Givers staff member who discarded the food. However, the court did not accept this.
“Family of the members gave testimony consistent with the broadcast and provided proof, while citing further context such as the CEO requiring members to report their weight, etc”
The court concluded that the claims were not false.

“Revenue from albums and music was not recorded at all in the settlement report. […] Costs invested by the agency ultimately became debts for the members […] Profits returning to the agency are estimated to reach 5.5 to 6.5 billion KRW, well exceeding the break-even point.”
ATTRAKT had argued these claims were false, but the court rejected this.
“Although tax invoices for music revenue were issued around March 2023, this income was omitted from the settlement report.”
They added that ATTRAKT had admitted this omission.
The court confirmed that “some of the costs invested by ATTRAKT were deducted from the members’ earnings.”
