i’m creating this
say hi below if you wanna join
this is a good fit for you if you invest currently or you’re curious about investing
focus will mostly be global stocks not ngx (i know nothing about this)

i need a group chat where we can talk investments and stocks, especially ai/semiconductor stocks

Adversaries scraping encrypted traffic in 2020 were betting on a 2040 quantum computer.
New results show that the timeline is moving faster, and the cost of running these attacks is dropping quickly. Every encrypted backup, archived email, and sealed legal file now has a shorter expiry date than most people assumed,
Which side of the gap are you on?

"Negligible" just became 3–5%.
That's Anza's new probability for a quantum break on Solana inside 5 years. The chart below is why neutral atom hardware is closing in on the threshold faster than anyone forecasted.
44 attack surfaces exposed: wallets, block propagation, consensus, every on-chain program. If you sign with Ed25519, you're in the blast radius.
If you care about privacy that survives the quantum era, chat with us.

Plot twist: quantum progress doesn't follow a tidy Moore's law curve.
It chills for years in what researchers call the "era of ferment" , then jumps a full generation overnight while everyone's still arguing about timelines.
By the time you see "Shor's algorithm just ran on real hardware" trending, that's not the alarm to start migrating ⏰ it's the obituary for ECDLP.

Toba is a very great guy.
He’s so knowledgeable that I’ve always felt he was meant to be at @NASA or working on spaceship missions. Not only did we finish from the same secondary school, TASUESS in Ijebu-Ode (same school as @AYOKUNLE_MD), but we also represented the best state medical school at different levels, while I was in my finals. We emerged as the second-best medical school in Africa out of 37 medical universities in 2022 (even @the_beardedsina thinks we were the best in the tournament).
Toba’s answers were things I had never heard of before. Some of his remarkable responses in quiz competitions included Time Magazine’s Person of the 20th Century (Albert Einstein) and the full name of Isaac Newton’s Principia (Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica).
It didn’t stop at basic science but extended to complex medical knowledge. His understanding of concepts is unrivalled. At times, it honestly feels like he belongs in the league of minds like Einstein or Hippocrates, rare thinkers of another era.
For context, I finished in 2022 with six distinctions, which was a record for my school, following Chromo (Dr. Alabi Olugbenga)'s footsteps, so I understand what excellence looks like. Every record is meant to be broken, and I’m so pleased you surpassed this milestone. Toba has my highest recommendation, and I believe this should go beyond the College of Health Sciences and should be the best result in @oou_agoiwoye.
I’m calling on the state governor @DapoAbiodunCON to please recognize and celebrate this outstanding achievement and give it the attention it truly deserves, and on the president @officialABAT to also acknowledge and honor this level of excellence.
I can’t argue with consistency (Secondary school grades, WASSCE, JAMB, and now Medical School). When someone shows up, delivers, and keeps raising the bar over and over again, you just have to respect it. It speaks for itself. His efforts should not go unnoticed.
Greater height, brother, this is the least you'll ever be.

8 years ago, I began this journey to become a doctor, after 8As and 1B in my WASSCE and a score of 347 in my UTME. The journey is finally over, with distinctions in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Internal Medicine.

Google's paper highlighted a quantum risk most people miss: On-setup attacks 🚨
One CRQC run against a protocol's fixed public parameters plants a permanent backdoor that classical attackers reuse forever, no quantum hardware required after the first hit.
Any system leaning on a powers-of-tau trusted setup carries this exact failure mode, where the discarded "toxic waste" can be recovered later and turned into a tradable exploit anyone can wield.
STARK-based proofs sidestep the entire class by design, with no trusted setup and no elliptic-curve pairings to compromise.

This was a marvelous, comprehensive talk about the quantum threats to Bitcoin and in-progress solutions.
We discussed the main quantum issues facing Bitcoin:
- Signature vulnerability
- Migration
- Detecting q-day
- Laggards/Procrastinators
We then proceeded to discuss several ongoing efforts and proposals to bridge the migration gap, including:
1. BIP360 (cc: @cryptoquick)
2. The forkless post-quantum spending mechanism by @avihu28 (cc: @EliBenSasson, @StarkWareLtd)
3. The SHRIMPs and SHRINKs stateful signature schemes developed by @Blockstream
4. A solution for laggards by @roasbeef based on the LFC protocol by @or_sattath and myself.
I hope this discussion helps everyday users have a better understanding of the challanges ahead and where we stand facing them.
Thanks for having me @ekansotpyrc!
