choosing not to spread that specific moment isn’t because he did anything wrong, bcs he absolutely didn’t. it was such a genuine, sweet moment that only showed how much he cares about us. what matters is what happened afterwards. seeing how nervous and uncomfortable he became is exactly why we need to protect him. the immediate wave of negativity that followed just proves how easily his peace can be disrupted under the public eye. being mindful about what we say and share is one of the few ways we can help reduce the hate and unnecessary scrutiny directed at him. he shouldn’t have to second-guess himself or feel like every little thing he does is being analyzed. we should be helping take that pressure off his shoulders, not adding to it. we love you, heeseung <3 you are so deeply appreciated, so loved, and you did absolutely nothing wrong 🫂

Last, I think what hurts me most is realizing how fragile people’s support can be. I’ve watched people who once defended him, praised him, and said they loved him now speak about him with so much resentment and hatred. And I can’t help but wonder how long those feelings were there hidden by the name engene and how six years of memories, appreciation, and love can be so easily forgotten. Sometimes I stop and think: whether this was his choice or not, it could have been any member in his position. And I genuinely wonder if the people pouring so much hatred onto him right now would be reacting the same way if it had happened to the member they love most. I can’t answer that for them, but I can definitely answer for myself: I would be standing by every single member. Because love isn’t proven when everything is easy. It’s proven when staying becomes a choice.
