Pied-billed Grebe with babies. I have never seen the babies before, so cute! Since the extinction of the Atitlán grebe(Podilymbus gigas), the pied-billed grebe has become the sole extant member of the genus Podilymbus. Their brown color serves as camouflage in the marshes.

This is true and well-documented. If you truly want to minimize the total number of beings that you kill, your diet would rely heavily on large ruminants like bison, cows, elk, and deer. This assumes moral equivalence between all animals, which is reasonable to disagree with.

Can you people at least TRY to eat less meat? Tofu is really yummy when you get the hang of cooking it. Same with beans and lentils. Try ordering a tofu pad thai instead of chicken, or a veggie burger instead of beef. It’s better for your health to eat less meat too!!

i would never argue with a vegan because they’re making the morally correct decision and i’m not. i don’t have any truly sound way to counter their perspective from a moral standpoint. so i just practice cognitive dissonance and eat my beef and pork and keep my mouth shut.
