@HaLaLaKalEl For sure, I understand them not liking it. But idk, calling it a bad musical or only suitable for Starkid hardcore fans (as if Starkid fans are not able to see whether is good or not) was quite a miss in my opinion. Not the tone I would have chosen, for sure

Starkid fans, you do not need to scream anytime ur favorite character is mentioned, we know u like them, shut up (Some of yall need theater etiquette classes because why are you screaming in my ears MULTIPLE TIMES DURING A SONG?????)

@lynt1ncan if that's the review I think it is, it's because they took the musical at face value. like if you see it as a show exclusively about singing zombies, then America is Great Again is gonna be lost, and that's the number that really makes the deeper themes extremely clear

@HaLaLaKalEl No, of course, to each their own. We can't all like the same things. But they are acting like it's a style over substance musical or something only Starkid hardcore fans will enjoy and in my opinion that couldn't be further from the truth

@lynt1ncan Even if, at the end of the day, critics obviously have a job to do, and I respect that, a few of the more critical reviews of TGWDLM lead me to believe they don’t get it. Obviously StarKid shouldn’t be above criticism. But this misses the mark SO badly.

i’m hoping if starkid doesn’t do any filmed version of tgwdlm london they at least release show stoppin number so we can all see ivan’s hidgens :)

One of my favorite changes of tgwdlmr is how the infected sing "we will not be resisted" with the nightmare time motif. it's just one of the many clues that paul's fate is sealed, and also such a cool appearance of the melody

also for those of you unable to see tgwdlmr on the west end i feel the need to inform you that ivan’s hidgens may be the best one yet
