It’s actually sad because I find myself being scared to even promote an artist or appear in a video with a male artist because I already know the rumours that will come with it. You people are always saying we should push Ghana and take Ghana to the world, but when someone especially a woman is doing something you don’t like, something you’re not used to, or something that feels uncommon, you immediately start bringing her down. God has blessed me with a platform. I might not be the biggest, but I know I can still contribute in my own way. But because of this toxic mentality, I even find myself thinking twice before working with people. The sad part is you don’t realise you’re destroying someone’s image. My mum, my family and the people who care about me see these rumours too. Have you ever stopped to think about that? How would you feel if people were making up stories about your daughter or your sister, knowing for a fact that none of it was true? Not every man and woman working together are sleeping together. Some of us are simply doing our jobs. Stop making up stories and let people work in peace.
