Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022) had no business going this hard. A sequel nobody was asking for that lands an existential fairy tale, and a villain who actually scares kids and adults. One of the biggest animated glow-ups in recent memory.

The tunnel where Grace and Rocky meet in ‘PROJECT HAIL MARY’ was built practically. The tunnel was 70-feet long and contained a huge rig of old-school tungsten lights that were then pixel-mapped to create a controllable, moving “sun” inside the tunnel. (Source: variety.com/2026/artisans/…)
