@SLNTPLNT @SumterSessoms At the arena in bako I was an in house vendor. I really got some cool opportunities and met some awesome touring folk, but I really to see when a group can’t use their own merch crew. especially at festivals, they hire anyone and they’re slow and rude 💀

@SumterSessoms it’s a good trick, but some venues do hard counts. others get the atvenu backend on artists. Most big venues force you to use their vendors

saying it again: merch rate is a scam and venues don’t deserve a cut of the band’s merch unless they want to give bands a cut of their bar sales. bands bring everyone then venues keep 100% of bar sales then say: now we want partial rights to our merch that we didn’t creat, print, ships, or distribute and honestly, it doesn’t hurt us too bad because we are currently in a comfortable place (something that we are extremely grateful for) but it used to be ruinous for us when we were getting our start in 2012-2015. venues would pay us $100 to play then ask for $200 in merch rate. asking that of a young band living in a fan that owns nothing besides their instruments - that sucks. if you are a young band ok the road and need help, hit us up. honest, raw art is needed now more than ever. love y’all.

@lyssughjo @SilentGarrett I have and all the hate, I've heard, is from pro-Palestine groups who all scream pro-democratic ideals. Not saying there isn't radical right groups, which I condemn. However, it's the legacy media and radical left that has brought most of the hate towards Jewish people recently

I’m telling you. You can trace this back to the Dems not taking Bernie Sanders and his supporters seriously back in 2016 and how his popularity had the Dems panicking in 2020.

there’s a really hopeless and empty feeling when a majority of online presence consists entirely of scammers or bots. They’re everywhere, on every platform. Impersonating anyone. How did platforms meant for human connection become infested with the complete opposite.

The idea that third party voters are traitors is exactly why there is an imbalance of power and we’re in a shitcircus every term.
