While I understand that it is his tournament and his final ruling, I believe the situation should have been handled better.
Cheating or not, I understand not wanting to punish a team for possible tech issues, but the opposing team should never get the short end of the stick in these situations.
In our situation,
- We were forced to play the map out despite the situation.
- An enemy player was banned three times, yet they were still allowed to play and even bring in a substitute.
- This completely killed the momentum we had built through previous rounds, while giving them a fresh player with potential new ideas and a clear mental reset.
- Meanwhile, we had been waiting an hour and a half just to finish Map 1 which also got rid of any consistencies the enemy team had that we were using and basically made us play a whole new game with only two rounds.
