Ayer (pese a las amenazas) presentamos el libro de Juan “Esto no existe”, en una librería del centro de Madrid, el local se llenó por completo: había gente incluso en las escaleras, y muchos esperaron fuera pese al frío. Después de tantos años debatiendo al margen sobre la violencia de género, las denuncias falsas y el maltrato materno, por fin parece que el silencio empieza a romperse y que podemos hablar de realidades que se niegan. Se acabó el sometimiento al chantaje emocional al que hemos sido expuestos durante años, acusados de poner en peligro a las mujeres por hablar de las víctimas que incomodan. Es momento de madurar como sociedad y buscar soluciones a los problemas con serenidad y conocimiento, lejos de ideólogos sectarios y oportunistas que utilizan a las víctimas para sus intereses políticos. Gracias a Juan, a todos los que asistieron y a los que nos acompañaron. Comprad el libro, hablad de él y haced ruido! Que ya no se pueda seguir mirando a otro lado. ❤️

A thorough

I have no intention of denying other cultures or holding discriminatory views. But there’s a lingering feeling inside me that I can’t quite shake. If someone is interested in Indian culture, wouldn’t it be more meaningful to go to India and experience it there? Likewise, I feel that Japanese culture is something best experienced in Japan itself. Culture is beautiful, and I do believe that diversity is important. But at the same time, I also feel that culture is something deeply rooted in a specific place. Mixing everything together isn’t necessarily a good thing, at least not from my perspective. I struggle with how to express these feelings. I know they might be perceived as discriminatory, and that worries me. Still, this is my honest feeling, and I want to be able to express my opinion. I hope that someday I’ll be able to put these thoughts into words in a better way.

Honestly, I think anyone who considers these incidents to be no big deal isn’t really Japanese. This is a serious issue that affects me, my friends, and my family. There’s no way I could ever take it lightly.
