昔の日本では頭のいい人って、「勉強する努力」で作ることができるものと思われてたの。とうぜん今は違うよ(･ω･;) その「勉強の努力が得意な人」を「ガリ勉」って言って、少し変わり者扱いであまり連まないとか、度の強いメガネをかけているという、ステレオタイプのイメージがあってさ(･ω･;) あるタイミングと言うか子供が殺される殺人事件があって、その犯人が、そのステレオタイプの格好をしてて。趣味が今で言う「オタク趣味」とニュースで流れたの。本当は映像を集めるのか好きな人だったんだけど(･ω･;) あの辺りから、そのステレオタイプな格好が「オタク」の代名詞なっちゃた訳。その後の作品から、記号的に「オタク趣味」の人はそうやって描かれるようになった(･ω･;) ここ20年くらいでアニメやマンガが世界中に広がっていく間に、日本でも普通の人と変わらず描かれるようになったのよ(･ω･;)
これはある。日本人としては拒絶せず共存してるつもりだけど一神教からするとエグい侮辱なんのかもしれん。とはいえこれ以上の譲歩も無理だよな。「唯一神として崇めるか、そうじゃない邪教徒なのか」しかないそっちサイドがなんとかしてくれ。

@bunburyoudoujp This analogy doesn't work unless you believe Buddhism\Shinto is equivalent to Japanese culture. The practices/rituals that come out of these beliefs are an element of culture. If I go to a shrine dedicated to a saint instead of a kami, was JP culture destroyed?
I wrote this because most Christian writing about Japan is really, really bad. One side treats a shrine visit while on vacation as "demon worship." The Japanese, if what I'm reading on the timeline is correct, often seem to treat it as simply cultural. Both are misguided. This is not an unfamiliar subject to me, as understanding other religions in parts of the world I'm fascinated by is kind of a hobby of mine. For the Westerner, you should probably understand Shinto and Zen on their own terms before making theological or cultural judgments. Christians in particular simply don't have appropriate categories to discuss these topics. The essay includes a Japanese translation because I wanted Japanese Christians to be able to read it, too.
別にカトリックが入ってくることのに否定の意識もないし、別にええやん数々の問題こそあれいい事してる人がそれなりに多くて世界で一番信者が多いならそれはそれなりに正しいってことだろうと思ってるけど 多分日本に明確に入った時点で日本での扱いが神道の枠組みの中のキリストになるよ
