@m9206952 @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists Back to the De Jure definition of Feminism, which directly contradicts the De Facto application of it.. We are also biologically VERY different. It's called Sexual Dimorphism...

@Sifu_Stony @rebelxan @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists Again, that's why I don't like to call things lies and truths with certainty. When it feels too neat, you get attached to the premise, you get numb to bias. Also, I gtg cuz I got exams next week but feel free to keep debating, I might come back tmr

@m9206952 @rebelxan @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists Again, I was raised with a completely different "story." I've spent my entire adult life piecing together what actually works; what doesn't contradict reality.. I'll prefer the inconvenient truth over the comforting lie any day of the week..

@Sifu_Stony @rebelxan @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists So if you've never tried an apple before and the first time you do, you accidentally choke, your conclusion is "see? I knew apples were bad all along"? No, because you know a disruption isn't a failure. You understand that correlation isn't causation.

@Sifu_Stony @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists Feminism is about biological equality. It's not about blending the two genders together. It's about equality of opportunity. About not discriminating either gender into assumptions that harm their opportunities in life. Anything else you've heard is just fake feminism.

@m9206952 @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists Because we aren't "equal" (again, Tabula Rasa). Treating boys like defective girls (and vise versa) is abusive on its face. And if it were only that, it would be bad enough, but feminism is De Facto a purely man-hating ideology..

@Sifu_Stony @rebelxan @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists I won't fight you if you've made up your mind, but I'll tell you that I hate to draw conclusions. Why? Because when a story feels neat, asserting the premise with an ending is satisfying. Makes you not wanna change it ever. So it leaves plenty of space for bias.

@Sifu_Stony @rebelxan @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists That's confirmation bias. You're looking at a reoccurring issue and your reaction is "see? This is why we were right to take rights from women". That's not logic, you're assigning disruption to failure so you don't have to adjust your beliefs nor worldview.

@m9206952 @rebelxan @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists Western men have been suicidally accepting of women's fuckery. It's been a hard lesson to learn, but there are reasons why EVERY ancient religion, without exception, have put restrictions on women's freedoms. Maybe they were right "Traditions are solutions to forgotten problems."

@Sifu_Stony @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists Feminism on its core only wishes for gender equality, how could that harm you? You can say the way people implemented it on you might have hurt you, but that's not about feminism, it's about ignorance on their end.

@m9206952 @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists Quite the opposite. Learning about "the bigger picture" is exactly what turned me against feminism whit large. Virtually every feminist idea I attempt to use growing up has ONLY hurt me, without exception.. Why should I trust someone who only wishes me harm??

@m9206952 @rebelxan @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists The key to not being guilty of the "Appeal to Authority" fallacy is to use said information to understand HOW & WHY they came to their conclusions. NOT to just point at it and blindly declare it sacrosanct..

@Sifu_Stony @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists Women, in %, were far more illiterate than men. Women could only homeschool their children in religious insights, household labor training and not much more since they were not educated themselves. Academic studies weren't at home, and women, especially mothers, weren't allowed

@m9206952 @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists Women have historically been generally more educated than men. Who do you think homeschooled the kids & passed on Traditional knowledge for time in memoriam before public schools were a thing?

@Sifu_Stony @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists That's fair. You're being cautious. Just don't punish half the globe for that. It's not about dismissing what you experienced, it's about learning about the bigger picture to avoid staying frozen in generalization. It's just availability bias at the end.

@Sifu_Stony @rebelxan @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists Not really how this trend is going. If we have beliefs, stereotypes and cultural routines based on a biased belief that is now being tested and disrupted, people who have based their moral grounds on it will face friction in tolerating the new norm, even if more correct to.

@Sifu_Stony @rebelxan @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists So now we have a bias. Those papers could be right because they were accepted. Then again, the "feminist" ones were also accepted. So why should we trust one and not the other? Cuz saying that PubMed (i.e.) is wrong implies that we have to distrust research altogether.

@sdsiffghyhgu @_seraphina_vale I haven't spoken of oppression. But someone with the right to use somebody else's body to live without their consent is actually privileged.

@Sifu_Stony @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists It's not unimaginable that the fact that women were kept home with children and uneducated incapacitated them from doing research findings. Nor is the fact you can be logical and be emotionally intelligent and that's not a contradiction.

@Sifu_Stony @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists But I get that maybe you were raised in an extremist environment, that's different. You shouldn't let that guide your line of thought, though. It won't help you.

@Sifu_Stony @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists I'd be happy if you stopped making baseless claims... "Feminists are incapable of being intellectually honest"? Seriously? How do you expect to prove that? You're rejecting a claim and pronouncing it false because it doesn't match your worldview, that's not how that works.

@m9206952 @rebelxan @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists Feminist researcher with confirmation bias.. Most sociological research has been poisoned for decades. Need proof? Just look up the "Grievance Studies Affair." It's another big reason why "Appeal to Authority" is a fallacy.

@Sifu_Stony @rebelxan @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists I'm really not projecting. And I'm also not saying that men don't have to try hard to apply for a leadership position, of course they do. The point is women aren't usually taken as seriously as men in the same power position, and are even talked over more often, it seems.

@m9206952 @rebelxan @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists No, that's just projection on your part. Men have to prove themselves too.. If anything, it's because (at least these days) there are myriad Affirmative Action programs for women to be fast-tracked into positions of authority.

@Sifu_Stony @GirlbossConfess @math4feminists I'm really just trying to understand why you think my claim is blind and dogmatic, really. I'm not even playing semantics, I'm serious, man. You obviously have a negative impression of my claim, and I don't see why.
