Going to the Burnley game today and there were technically points to play for, however from walking down to the ground right until I left it, I felt absolutely nothing.
No passion. No excitement. Not even any nerves.
The current ownership of the club are slowly (but surely) killing everything that Burnley stands for as a club: tradition, passion, and togetherness.
They like to put on a front of trying to pander to the fanbase but they’re so so far off it. Maybe it’s genuinely just a lack of understanding.
During this week I’ve seen Burnley put out various pieces of content on social media, three posts stood out to me: JBL talking about his dog, Connor Roberts talking about his dog, and three of the players playing virtual golf. The lack of understanding and ability to read the room is beyond me. We’ve not won at home since OCTOBER.
I’ve never felt a bigger disconnection with the club I love, and I know by going to every home game that the majority of fans feel the same.
Change is needed.
