@Ninenishere @pipeshotgun As someone who saw it broadcasted in Africa I'll even add that some episodes like "So many birthdays" and "Lars and the cool kids" didn't make it on tv. (And that's without counting the things that were either lost in translation or important lines forgotten in the adaptation).

@pipeshotgun Steven Universe created a huge censorship debate in my Quran school. This was in Saudi Arabia around 2016. I can confirm a group of hyper religious 14 year olds who were given a very edited version of the show were able to have more nuanced discussions on SU than grown adults

@pipeshotgun There are some I can get but most of the things they argue about sound like they are talking with what they remember from a decade ago or watching clips out of context, I have a 3rd option in mind but I don't have the proper words in mind to speak it.
