Early morning thoughts As I said last week, I rewatched the Leverkusen first leg and have a lot of thoughts. Here were some of my key findings from the game: - At Leverkusen GKs, Mazza, their nominal LW, moves laterally across the pitch, which occupies our RB. This leaves the entire channel free for Grimaldo to attack. They nearly caught us out here in the second half. Our RW must remain alert! - Their pivot players are constantly moving in settled possession; one of the two usually steps outside the block. This is to decouple our M2M pressure. - Tapsoba on the left hand side is right footed. Need to watch out for his passes that enter inside the block. - Their nominal 5-2-3 shape sees their RWB jump high as we funnel the ball towards our LHS. Regularly saw him jumping all the way to Hincapie. I’d like to see Calafiori start as I feel he will be better equipped to handle this. - When they are defending within the middle of the pitch, their pivot players don’t consistently jump out. Their LW however, Mazza, does as we play through our RHS. We can take advantage of this by overloading the ball side pivot player to allow us to access the half space, before feeding our RW for a 1v1. This is what we did in the second half with Madueke. Eze’s involvement on the RHS helped us overload the ball side pivot player. - That young lad up front looks flipping good. He can drop in and spin in behind!

So @Arsenal wanted to charge me £274 for my 3 seats for the Leverkusen game, now add qtrs and semis to that IF we get there, thats a total of £822 my 3 seats over 3 games. So that £400 short of one full season ticket. That is just fucking greedy of Arsenal you should be ashamed

17 years ago my mother was diagnosed with MS. She was told she would be in a wheelchair within 5 years. Today, she walks a marathon with me every Sunday (see today’s below), is the world’s best grandmother and is a professional Pilates instructor. So two reminders for you today: 1. You are so much more capable than even you think. Do not give up. You got this. 2. Call your parents, today. One day, you won’t have the luxury and at that moment there is nothing you wouldn’t do to have the chance to speak to them again. To all the mothers out there. Not all heroes wear capes but you are our heroes!

We definitely look more direct and have more central threat with Eze at 10. He stays much higher up than Odegaard, creating space for others. Some nice touches and started the move for the first goal, but must demand the ball more. Needs minutes to rebuild confidence and rhythm.

I wouldn’t go for the same Havertz in midfield system against Brentford tomorrow. They’ll want to make it a very transitional game and it’s in our best interests not to allow that to happen.

@mindofprospect The S&P is unlikely to be up 25% every year of a 4 year car finance. Average likely closer to 5-7%. Plus you can sell the asset (car) years later whereas on car finance you hold nothing.

I used to be against car finance but once you start buying decent car it makes sense. If you have 20k cash to your name why would you dump that in a car and leave yourself on 0. The SNP is up 25% this year and you can get car finance for 8% and keep your money invested in stocks
