Honestly trying to analyze this era of Spider-Man is such a mess because we’re building on so many different plot holes and poor choices that every single thing can be undermined by one or more plot holes.

@abysmaldogwater Yes. There’s no way around it barring HARD retcon or fake. Even if you say she was brainwashed it’s still a major part of her life. This is why I’m so militant about the whole thing. It’s not Bobby or Pedro you can kind of sweep under the rug if you skip half a dozen issues.
