@autumnrain80 @Jani__Gee ? You realize taxes and interest and utilities are all costs. Yet you think principal payments aren't? One reason is opportunity cost. Let's say $150k down payment = 6-8%reurn on that would be $10-12,000 / yr.

@Jani__Gee I’d split the expenses based on our relative incomes. This means the utilities and such but also interest on his mortgage and taxes. But I should not be paying the equity portion of the mortgage.

It's not actually a problem. The girls have their own groups (packs). The "boy" Scout program is good. Girl Scouts is not for everyone. My daughter has done the entire cub scout program and is 1st year in Scouts now. All w girls. No LGTBQ or weird stuff, although individual parents and kids shape things wherever you are.
