A new work from the studio. What started as an AI basketball player has evolved into a large butterfly man set against a Mayo landscape.

This process augments the figure as it captures it in motion, stopping time is its primary function. From this painting I generated a mirror image, a corresponding figure created by word prompts fed into an AI program. #aiart #sportart #sprinters #sprint #athleteart

These works are intended to create a dialogue about how images are perceived and created. In my recent series of painted athletes the source imagery comes from the photofinish method of analogue photography used in sporting events. #aipainting #sportart #sprinters
