I heard the fastest way to peace is to literally not give a fuck about what people think of you. Even family.

Creating safe spaces for survivors of #sgbv is key. Knowing what to say to survivors and what NOT to say is a major part of this. Even if there is no malicious intent behind them, some phrases are dismissive and contribute to victim blaming. Some of them are listed below:

i refuse to overcommunicate. i refuse to care more. i refuse to let my anxiety convince me that i’m the problem. i refuse to be the bigger person that’s responsible for holding shit together. i refuse. & that’s all i have to say about that. meet me where i’m at or leave me alone.

i personally don’t view blocking as a big deal. to me, it’s just a boundary. i simply do not want you talking to me or engaging with anything i do. it doesn’t mean i’m mad. it means i do not want to engage with you.
