@thejackhopkins So happy for all of you who have partners/caregivers. But please recognize that many of us are completely alone. Medicare pays nothing for daily help. So with leukemia, my primary caregiver is my German shepherd, which is better than nothing, but not exactly all the help I need

Given that my wife has Lupus, and is easily fatigued, evening usually finds her falling asleep on the couch around 8:00 pm. Each night, I glance over to see her sleeping, and just feel really thankful. I like having her here. She doesn’t need to be awake. Her presence is enough. I find it comforting. It’s really nice. If you have someone like that, I’m happy for you. It makes the experience on this big blue orb….all the more enjoyable. I just felt compelled to write that. I needed to express it, and someone else….somewhere…was most likely needing it to BE expressed.

@tuszyb @thejackhopkins Have CML too & would give anything for a partner/caregiver. Am in the 15% that can't tolerate chemo, so just waiting to die, thankfully w/ really good palliative care. Live alone except for my German shepherd. Don't ever take your husband forgranted, you're blessed to have him

@thejackhopkins I needed to hear (read) another husband say this. I have chronic myleoid leukemia & just had extensive back surgery. My DH does EV.RY.THING around here because I can't and haven't been able to for a while. It's hard to believe sometimes that he just loves me for me.

Countless people have been predicting for years that Donald Trump would be indicted some day, but it’s really incredible that we’re finally on the verge of that actually happening. After all, this will be the first time in U.S. history that a former president is criminally charged. Everyone is going to remember what they were doing when they first heard the news of Trump’s indictment — just like when JFK was shot or the Twin Towers fell. Unlike those tragic events, however, this will be the cause for celebration for most Americans.
