I'm not for equal outcomes. I want unequal outcomes. If you work ten times harder than somebody, you deserve the economic reward. But I do want the kids from the neighborhood I grew up in to be fed, educated, to have healthcare, and to get to the starting block. That's not socialism, that's a rich enough country deciding that some basic level of fairness is worth paying for. Equal opportunity. Not equal outcomes. There's a big difference and we've somehow lost the thread on that distinction entirely. Thank you @wethefifth for having me on the podcast.

@RyanDetrick @awealthofcs there is no way to expect that there is a reasonably achievable sustained growth rate that will “grow our way out of debt”. right? i don’t get the whole tax cuts thing when the debt is such that it is. thoughts on that plz?

According to @awealthofcs, government debt is up from $430 billion when this magazine cover came out to nearly $40 trillion today. That is almost a 10x.

A lot of childhood trauma comes from money. Economic anxiety trickles down in ways that are hard to see until you're older and can put words to it. My father had that anxiety and unfortunately some of it came out on us. He's passed now and I've forgiven him. He had a lot of great qualities. He was incredibly hardworking. Completely honest. He was a no funny business kind of guy, paid his parking tickets, and paid his taxes. He had a line I've never forgotten: if you can't afford the price of the ticket, don't go to the movies. I think that shaped me more than anything. I've made a decent amount of money but I've never needed to throw it in anyone's face. Partly because it makes me uncomfortable — I have cousins, nieces, nephews who haven't done as well. Why would you do that to people you love? You live below your means and you remember where you came from.

When you get right down to it, life goes by fast. It’s hard to believe it’s been 48 years since I made eternal vows to my sweetheart in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together, we’ve built a life full of love, memories, and family—and I’d choose you all over again. I love you, sweetheart. ❤️

The reality of American life today: Jeff Bezos, worth $290 billion, spent: $10 million on the Met Gala $120 million on a penthouse $500 million on a yacht Meanwhile, he‘s planning to throw 600,000 Amazon workers out on the streets and replace them with robots. Unacceptable.

George Conway ⚖️🇺🇸
I’m George Conway, former Republican turned Democrat who’s running for Congress. You already know I’m against Donald Trump. The whole damn world knows I’m against Donald Trump. So let me tell you what I’m for: I’m for democracy. I’m for the rule of law. I’m for equality under the law. I’m for freedom of speech and religion. And I’m for an America that works for everyone — not just those f*ckers who lie and cheat. That’s why I’m running for Congress. If you’re ready to help me take this fight directly to Trump and his cronies, please chip in $10 or anything you can to this campaign today. gc4ny.com/What-Im-For

Never saying sorry is a sign of insecurity, not strength. When you can admit a mistake, express vulnerability, acknowledge when a decision went wrong, that breeds trust. When you never do it? You’re hiding something. The refusal to apologize signals there’s something underneath that can’t withstand scrutiny. You think you’re projecting strength. You’re projecting fear. After the Bay of Pigs in 1961 — Kennedy’s first major foreign policy disaster — he stood up and said victory has a thousand fathers but defeat is an orphan and he took full responsibility. His approval ratings went up. That’s the difference between confidence and insecurity. The most self-assured people I’ve ever met are the quickest to say I was wrong.

Here with the one and only Dick Vitale, at his home with about 500 of his closest friends, for the "day after" event. His Gala was last night at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota. Coaches honored, Auriemma, Calipari, Izzo, Sampson, broadcaster Katie Couric, my niece Jamie, many other celebs in attendance. Dick will by 87 soon and this weekend, with events starting Thursday, would be endurance test for a man half his age, not battling cancer. He's amazing...

At the $BRK annual meeting - where protesters have been scream-chanting since 4am. Can’t tell what they’re saying, but wake me up at 4am with the tone of deranged hatred and I’m not taking the time to listen to what you’re spewing. All I can think of is “who’s paying these ass clowns”. There’s no authenticity to this - just theater & paid puppets.

MARK KENDALL GREAT WHITE Today we’re celebrating a true tone master and one of the driving forces behind one of rock’s most recognizable guitar sounds—Happy Birthday to Mark Kendall, turning 69! 🎸🔥 As the founding guitarist of Great White, Kendall brought a bluesy edge and raw California grit that helped define the band’s identity from the very beginning. His playing wasn’t about flash—it was about feel. You hear it in every bend, every riff, every solo that helped power songs like “Rock Me,” “Save Your Love,” and of course, the unforgettable “Once Bitten, Twice Shy.” Coming up through the late ’70s and breaking big in the ’80s, Mark and Great White carved out their own lane during a time when guitarists were everywhere. His style leaned into classic blues roots while still delivering the punch and polish of arena rock—a balance that gave the band staying power and a loyal following. Even today, his guitar work stands as a reminder that sometimes the most powerful playing comes from emotion and authenticity, not just speed. PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO ClassicROCKVideos!!!
