For the month of April, Macomb County Casual Days will benefit American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Northeast Macomb County! With department leader permission, employees may wear casual clothing to work on Fridays or designated days if they donate at least one dollar.

Commissioner Sylvia Grot visited The Fisher House in Detroit. The Fisher House is non-profit organization available for Veterans family members to stay free of charge when they are hospitalized. The Fisher House is a top-rated veteran charity.

Commissioner Barbara Zinner enjoyed a fish dinner at the Bruce VFW Post 1146 fish fry fundraiser in St. Clair Shores. The fish fry is a great way for community members to come together, enjoy a delicious meal, and support veterans.

At yesterday's Full Board meeting, Commissioners Joseph V. Romano and Don VanSyckel presented a proclamation honoring Sterling Heights Police Officer Edwar Talia for saving the life of an infant who was choking and unresponsive.

Raising awareness about MS is essential for fostering understanding, reducing stigma, and encouraging support for those affected. The Board of Commissioners encourages residents to learn about MS, support research, and stand in solidarity with those living with this condition.
