Interestingly ceasing the flow of an opioid into a country results in other synthetic, potentially more potent, equivalents emerging. e.g. nitazenes

@longtime_caller I haven't a clue either in terms of ease of manufacture. Problem is when people buying something they think they understand turns into something else and they massively overshoot, killing themselves accidentally.

@macro_dose Though I have no idea where it is manufactured or If it's an easier drug to manufacture in the US than fentanyl

@longtime_caller Yep, that's why I specified other synthetic opioids and the likelihood that others are created, giving the example of nitazenes as ones that are coming into the fray since the supply of high purity heroin was shut down. A non synthetic opioid is an opiate.

@macro_dose You're right that it won't solve anything and will probably make it worse (much like how fentanyl replaced heroine). Taxonomically speaking though, Isotonitazene and fentanyl , both are synthetic opioids.
