@LexG_III I guess I’ll see how they handle it, but the premise seems remarkably ill-advised for a romcom. To borrow your phrase, I spend the whole trailer doing charts and graphs on how a world with that law works the rest of the year.

@LexG_III Holy shit The Toy! I saw that in the theater when I was a little kid. I remember almost nothing about it other than a faint sense that it’s probably not topping any studio lists of prospective remakes.
English

@LexG_III I assume the success of Only Murders is the only thing preventing him from reuniting with Queen Latifah for a direct-to-Disney+ “Bringing Down The House” lega-sequel (164 mil gross, incredibly, more than Hocus Pocus).
English

@LexG_III It didn’t work because not all the kids committed to the lie, alas.
English

@LexG_III Completely unrelated but your most recent (superb as always) episode surfaced a middle school memory for me: they took my class to see the Gobots movie, and some of us were so embarrassed we tried to get all the kids to say we’d seen Police Academy 3 when we got back to school.

@LexG_III I belong to the vanishingly small demographic of "middle-aged white guys who quote Friday more often than they quote Lebowski."
English

@LexG_III Paul Rudd gets all the no-aging jokes but Larenz Tate is fuckin bizarre, he could probably play O-Dog in Menace II Society again *now.*
English

@LexG_III Unrelated but I identified so hard with the elevator paint story on the (fantastic) new episode that I can feel myself starting to Inception-style remember it happening to me.
English

@LexG_III Dynevor and Ehrenreich are both great, and for a while it’s sorta neat to see an attempt at a feminist spin on Mamet/LaBute, but it felt like Dumont had no idea where to take the concept and just replayed the same beat again and again for the final hour.
English

@LexG_III I’ll help man the cannon on this one, I found her previous movie excruciating.
English

@LexG_III It’s amazingly incoherent. If the lady’s only ever watched the red carpet, then clearly the “wokism” of the movies hasn’t recently scared her off. He wants to position them as hearty salt-of-the-earth folks, then undercuts it by describing the young guy as a shark-eyed cipher.
English

@LexG_III Rolling at the idea of Euphoria franchising to multiple cities like NCIS
English

@intothecrevasse Getting in my Polymarket bet on “Feed My Frankenstein” by Alice Cooper now
English

@LexG_III Fair warning, it always puts me in a melancholy place, but I love it.
English

@LexG_III “They heavily stock an appliance lots of normal people buy, big cult vibes”
English

@PeteMitchell158 @LexG_III The Accountant 2 is kind of fascinating because you get to watch an intricate, concept-dense franchise slowly realize that it should just be a nice n' normal Affleck-Bernthal buddy cop series.
English

@LexG_III I love The Accountant 2 so much partly because of that scene alone. Watched it maybe 20 times last year.
