ILOILO: JALAUR MEGA DAM PROJECT Aside from the mangroves and the Iloilo Esplanade, the Province of Iloilo is leading the way in flood control and farm irrigation measures with the near completion of the Jalaur Mega Dam Project. Sana all like Iloilo. Here’s a short history of the project: ✅ Proposed by the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) and recommended by National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) in 2011 ✅ Approved by President Benigno S. Aquino III (PNoy) in 2012 ✅ Groundbreaking ceremony conducted in 2013 under PNoy’s administration and attended by Senators Franklin Drilon, Koko Pimentel, Bam Aquino, and Risa Hontiveros ✅💲Funding throug a loan agreement with the Korean government (through KEXIM Bank) was also signed during PNoy’s term ❌ Credit grabbed by Duterte through his Build! Build! Build! promo ⚠️ Inaugurated by BBM in July 2024 and will be fully operational and functional in 2025 ⚠️ Flood control measure: “The lower part of the Jalaur River experiences seasonal flooding. When there is heavy downpour, during the months of June to September, the river overflows and floods the surrounding area. #Accountability #FloodControlProjects

One our family members traveling abroad got denied at the foreign exchange counter in Oslo, Norway. Lady at the counter goes — “You came from the Philippines? We cannot exchange your dollars because of the corruption and money laundering in the Philippines.” This family member (along with a group of friends) told me they were asked to exchange their money elsewhere but not at the airport. Family member was just trying to exchange 300 USD. Terrible. What are we going to do about this, Pilipinas?
