Defended my PhD @HarvardIID this week and officially became Dr. Madalyn Won! Thanks to all my friends and colleagues for their support!!

Huge shout out to my lab and the resources at @MET_HSPH for helping us complete this work!

Using TurboID and mass spec, we identified >200 candidate flagellar proteins. We localized a handful of these candidates in amastigotes (below) and epimastigotes with a-FLAG and confirmed their presence in the flagellum.

The second half of my Ph.D. work from @HarvardIID is out on bioRxiv today! The proteins present in Trypanosoma cruzi epimastigote and amastigote flagella were largely unknown, so we set out to identify some of them.
