Given some of the replies I've had, I need to confirm that my wife hasn't died. I've lost her in the sense that she's now in full time care and no longer in our house. I thought I'd made that clear but forgive me if I didn't.

Today I lost my companion of 40 years. She was my rock, the person I shared my troubles with, my love, friend, and wife. However, Alzheimer's has hollowed her out and today she entered full time care. It's the best thing for both of us although it doesn't feel like it.
