To celebrate my birthday, and in a desperate attempt to remain relevant, I have been shown the first episode of Euphoria. Remarkable surreal aesthetics, with tight camera focus and theatrical lighting. I can see why conservatives hate it, as they think it glorifies teen sex and drug use … and they’re not entirely wrong … but I was taken by the overwhelming sadness that enveloped the episode. The show is the opposite of sexy … almost to the point of being unwatchable.

@RichardBSpencer I watched the first season as it premiered when I was 21. It definitely captured the moment for young people. 2nd season was very sloppy but the new season is once again tapping into the zeitgeist and looks to be the best of the series
