My capstone has finally come to an end! So thankful we got through this together and were able to learn so much and gain so much experience!

@AmbroseMadi yeah!! studies have shown that people are more invested in climate change and other issues when they have a personal connection to the environment!

@kim_nawon yes! although the geographic location I looked at was limited I don’t think the results are limited in terms of applications :)

@madeleineschro, would you say the findings of your #POEcap research could be more widely applicable outside of #Seattle and #VashonIsland? If so, what other places would your findings be applicable to? #ENVIR490

@LilyAstone great question! I think it worked well for me because by asking specific but open-ended questions, it provides enough structure to be able to connect the different responses but allows for each interviewee to express their own perspectives.

@madeleineschro, in your abstract you mentioned how you conducted semi-structured interviews. What do you mean by that exactly, and do you think that interview method hindered or benefited you? #POEcap #ENVIR490

I love @madeleineschro #POEcap poster! The use of mental and word maps were very creative ways to share her findings. I will keep these techniques in mind when I present in #ENVIR492

@connor_a_flynn mine is pretty much finalized but i’ll probably want to add little changes right up until the last minute 😓

Any of my #ENVIR492 classmates have a finalized poster for the Capstone Symposium yet? Or are you still trying to put some final touches on it? I feel like mine is pretty good but could still be improved just a bit.

@HannahChristof3 I had a couple different versions of my sets of interview questions! I was asking each interviewee essentially the same thing of course, but I used slightly different language based on how familiar they were with the topics we discussed in the first couple questions.

@_victoriaharmon usually a combination of the two! If I want something quick and easy to understand, visual is the way to go, but if I want more details and description then text can communicate more info
