As many have noticed - and some have already pointed out - there have been numerous misleading and some factually inaccurate headlines describing the decision made by a California judge yesterday in the class action lawsuit about XRP. (I’m happy to see some correcting them - I wish I could tag / link them all here) To be absolutely clear, this is a big win – all class action claims in the suit were DISMISSED, and absolutely nothing in the decision negates or changes the fact that XRP is, in and of itself, not a security (per the NY Court decision). The CA ruling dismissed all allegations that Ripple had somehow violated federal securities law by selling XRP. As for the single state law claim that will now be scheduled for trial: the sole plaintiff didn’t buy XRP directly from Ripple and can’t say if he even heard the statement before he traded and only owned a couple hundred XRP. This was a clear example of the trolls that unsuccessfully tried to take advantage of the US legal system and distort statements to seek 100’s of millions in class action settlements. And lastly, regarding any “misleading statements” I stand by what I said and am looking forward to shedding light on that during the trial.

Today, Lukashenka's "court" sentenced me to 20 years in prison, in absentia. For state treason, "insulting Lukashenka", and other fabricated accusations. It was not a trial, but a farce. Lukashenka is a fraud, and his terror will not stop us from fighting for a free Belarus.

Today we are all #UnitedAgainstGenderApartheid and calling the free world to listen to the women of Iran and Afghanistan who are wounded, but unbowed to their oppressors. I joined international jurists and human rights defenders in signing onto a joint letter and underlying legal brief urging States to include the crime of gender apartheid in the draft crimes against humanity (CAH) treaty. Women and girls who live under the Taliban in Afghanistan and the Islamic Republic in Iran are battling extreme, institutionalized and systematized gender-based oppression and domination. This treatment has a name: gender apartheid. The UN General Assembly’s Sixth Committee (Legal) is scheduled to debate the proposed CAH treaty in October. Member States have the choice to recognize the CAH of gender apartheid in the treaty. Codifying this crime will provide the international community with the necessary tools to mobilize against apartheid regimes and hold perpetrators of gender apartheid accountable. In the oppressive and autocratic regime of Khamenei, the people of #Iran face daily suffering and disasters. This includes the tragic loss of life and injuries sustained by defenseless patients during the fire at Qa'em Hospital in Gilan, as well as the plight of deprived workers trapped under the rubble following the collapse of the Shazand mine. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and pray for the swift recovery of the injured. The ruling mullahs are solely focused on preserving their oppressive clerical dictatorship, showing a blatant disregard for the lives and well-being of the people. There is only one solution: rising up and overthrowing this regime. As long as the clerical regime remains in power, such disasters will continue to occur.
