@CatKnitty As a person who grew up as a very lonely, nerdy, POC female and tried to hang with all the nerd guys-- they were all condescending, judgemental, and anti-fun. I'm sure there were some outliers but highschool nerd guys have never been in my good graces. (1/2)

In all seriousness, I want to commend this show for not using “colorblind” casting and completely ignoring the racial underbelly of the story. Having a Black vampire, who transverses through time while Black, offers a whole new perspective on humanity via vampirism.
