It will never happen to me 😜😂 In all seriousness tho I recommend people powerlimit and/or undervolt their RTX5090 to keep the connector as safe as possible. I have my 5090 HOF undervolt overclocked and it performs better than stock at about 70% the power.

@DevilishTay Yeah with undervolt you can see a reduction in FPS in light 3D loads. Undervolt benefits in heavy loads.

@madness727 Stock 145 fps, don't remember with the undervolt, but normally when you undervolt you also lose fps in light fps games or Steel Nomad Light.

@madness727 Yeah, but less FPS compared to stock. Gotta have it at over 3k to stay over stock FPS. 2835 is not enough.

@madness727 I’ve run my 5090 at 450W PL @ 900mv for most of its life. My Wireview still yells at me about once a week about Wire over current errors (one pin going over 10A) and I literally open my side panel and wiggle the cable on the PSU side and it rebalances. Terrible connector.

This is not quite accurate. This seems to be a 2080Ti 12GB, not a 2080Ti Super. Yes. They are very different cards. 2080“Ti Super” (10DE-1E03); Always 4608sp, 12GB Sammy HC16, stock VRAM 2000mhz, 768GB bandwidth 2080Ti 12GB (10DE-1E07): Either 4608, 4480, or 4352sp, 12GB Sammy HC14(?), stock VRAM 1750mhz, 672GB bandwidth (matching the description here) A 2080Ti 12GB is a regular 2080Ti 300A that isn’t cut down, à la 8-core 1600X, compatible with XOC BIOSes of Strix, Kingpin, etc. A 2080Ti Super is a truly never-released SKU with objectively better specs (VRAM). You can’t run Titan RTX/2080Ti BIOSes or even retail drivers with a Ti Super. Source: we have both cards. It’s good to see more of these surfacing regardless. These are 3080/5060Ti killers.

@ComputerLove_ This is so stupidly true xD But the price is even 3x that Back then they would beg you to take this old fossil off them for free or they would just toss it in the junkyard. Same story for "retro" hardware like Motherboards and GPUs.
