@HellbirdIV @nafopushing @ranharel @TheOmniLiberal There were multiple Palestinian organizations that recognized Israel and were willing to work with them. However Netanyahu purposely chose to make partners with Hamas. Israelis heavily criticize him for this as it was a deliberate choice to prevent peace.

@HellbirdIV @nafopushing @ranharel @TheOmniLiberal Palestine existed since the Roman’s conquered the land and gave it that name over 2000 years ago. The land being occupied by different empires did not change that fact, nor did they change the name. It’s not alt-history fan fiction, they are basic facts.

In case you are wondering, I am 100% behind Israel, and I want it to completely destroy Hamas utterly and in detail, and Israel should not stop the war - which Hamas started and then restarted - until it wipes out these 7th Century savages. I also encourage you to ask me to sympathize with the people who started this war when they receive the inevitable consequences of it. I ask that because I have a good sense of humor and I love to laugh. I am now going to go have Mediterranean food.

@rconde123 @MaVASteve @DanCham03014042 @KurtSchlichter They weren’t given the right to do whatever they wanted with the land after that. The 1967 borders are significantly less Palestinian territory then what was in the original UN partition plan, however they are willing to accept those borders for their state, which benefits Israel

@rconde123 @MaVASteve @DanCham03014042 @KurtSchlichter They staged a premeditated attack against Egypt and Lebanon who were ruling Gaza and the West Bank since the 1948 peace agreement to protect Palestinians fleeing the Nakba. Their rule over those territories has been recognized as military occupation ever since.

@rconde123 @DanCham03014042 @KurtSchlichter Interesting how much you guys quote the UN’s declarations for Israel but then as soon as UN reports of crimes against Palestinians are mentioned the UN is made out to be unreliable. It’s contradictory. Such reports long predate Iran becoming commissioner of human rights in the UN

@madsnic_ @DanCham03014042 @KurtSchlichter I’m fine with people calling out atrocities. Geneva Accords & related stuff, sure. Int’l law, though… Well the UN allows human-rights-abusing countries to lead the committee on human rights, so … some resolutions are simply ignored. Countries seem 2 ignore Int laws a lot.

@rconde123 @DanCham03014042 @KurtSchlichter The UN also acknowledges that Palestinians are occupied in both Gaza and the West Bank. Israel can continue to exist, but they must give Palestinians the rights to their own state, as declared by the UN, international organizations, and HRO’s.

@rconde123 @DanCham03014042 @KurtSchlichter The Balfour Declaration, which predates the UN Resolution, approved the establishment IN Palestine, not the entirety of the land, and made clear Palestinians were to be respected in the process.

@HellbirdIV @nafopushing @ranharel @TheOmniLiberal Right, so if they aren’t seen as citizens by the people who occupy their territory, and they aren’t given independence to create their own sovereign state, do you now see what the problem is??

@madsnic_ @nafopushing @ranharel @TheOmniLiberal "Palestinians", by common definition, are not Israeli citizens. Ethnic Palestinian Arabs who are Israeli citizens are not typically called Palestinians, they are typically called Arab-Israelis. The fact you don't understand this distinction poses a credibility problem.

@HellbirdIV @nafopushing @ranharel @TheOmniLiberal Or you can apply to be a citizen with very strict rules such as being within the age of 18-21 and speak Hebrew, but those restrictions are not given to people who apply for citizenship if they have Jewish faith. Partial truths don’t tell the whole story.

@HellbirdIV @nafopushing @ranharel @TheOmniLiberal Or I’m pointing out how your statement is only somewhat true. You can become Israeli by birth if you are born in the country with Israeli parents, but that designation is not given to Palestinians as they are not seen as citizens

@HellbirdIV @nafopushing @ranharel @TheOmniLiberal I mean it’s right there in your image, it was called Palestine before 1948, it was just occupied by Brits at the time. That land was called Palestine ever since the Roman’s gave it that name over 2000 years ago. Occupations by Ottomans and Brits didn’t change that

@nafopushing @HellbirdIV @ranharel @TheOmniLiberal A land with self determination, independence, government, ability to do trade and commerce with neighbours, monitor their own land, airspace, and waters. Now you answer the question. Does what I described in my previous tweet sound like an independent sovereign nation to you?
