@sleepy_shivers @DevilMantis11 @EPM106 Comparison ≠ equating, yes, but not every comparison is fair or intersectional. Ignoring the pushback from the group the comparison references isn’t “intersectionality,” it’s erasure.

@thecollegehill @EPM106 Being black makes it worse actually. But I guess that gotcha would be highly effective with non black or ignorant black ppl
English

@EPM106 people tend to shut up when i make racial comparisons and they realize that i'm black
really shouldn't be necessary though
English

@DevilMantis11 @EPM106 Equating the two erases real, measurable differences in biology, socialization, and statistics. Your inability to acknowledge that is both a presentation of mysogenoir and an ideological collapse of the framework that intersectionality is built on.
English

@EPM106 Any time I compare transmisogyny to misogynoir people freak out even though I'm black. People really really do not like intersectionality being applied to trans women unless it's to talk about how we're all ontologically white males.

@polypocketknife @nyanqueer_wren Maybe if you’re waxing poetic, using it that way as a literary device, etc I would see your point, but these people are being literal.

@polypocketknife @nyanqueer_wren In America, women who died while they had babies inside of them were kept alive as incubators. It was horrific, abhorrent, egregious, and unacceptable— but it was not rape. Ur proposing that the word mean broadly: “A violation of bodily autonomy”, but that’s not what it means.

@nyanqueer_wren All of these people using their queer marginalized identity as a tool for justifying problematic behavior are “fake woke” af and it’s gross.
English

@nyanqueer_wren Yeah but the avg person thinks that rape is the worst thing that can happen to someone. So you can’t really blame trans women for calling it rape to get the point across
