Magi is currently undergoing the first external audit done outside our team or by Magi contributors. For the last month we have been undergoing hardening with the attempt to leave the pre-liquidity phase. 60% of all engineering work last month has been going towards bug fixes and general hardening. The external audit should hopefully clear the last blockers for larger liquidity to enter the network. Right now we are pivoting hard towards EVM integration, ZK proofs and Dash. EVM and DASH are essential for our market viability as it will for the first time allow for external users to have routes available beyond the Hive ecosystem.

The EVM integration work is mostly complete and working end to end on the Magi testnet. We are going through final testing and should have it ready soon to release with $DASH. We're also building ZK proof verification for the EVM integration. In plain terms: right now every validator node on the network would need to run a full Ethereum node alongside Magi, which adds significant hardware cost and complexity. ZK proofs solve this. This keeps validator requirements lean and affordable as the network grows, which matters a lot when you're supporting dozens of chains. Hardware cost that multiplies per validator, per chain doesn't scale which is already visible with other projects solving similar problems to the ones we are trying to solve in the crosschain space. Finally, work is underway on the Incentive Pendulum, the mechanism that enables validators to earn fees from swaps. This is one of the key remaining pieces before we can meaningfully grow our liquidity pools.

The Magi SDK v1.0 is now available for integration! This changes what any Hive connected website can do. Under the hood: a self-contained cross-chain swap widget built on Magi. Four integration modes: 1. React component 2. Web Component 3. SDK-only headless, 4. BTC deposit flow with no wallet required. Pool-derived pricing, CSS variable theming, neutral defaults out of the box. What that means for you: drop native BTC and HIVE swaps into your website in 5-10 minutes and earn a % on every single trade. (default is 0% so you need to apply your own rate) No redirects. No third-party exchanges. Your users never leave your platform. If you run a Hive frontend, a wallet, a game, a blog you can become a cross-chain liquidity aggregator overnight. One component, your referral address, done. This is what DeFi infrastructure is supposed to look like. Currently v1 is Hive ecosystem facing. You can connect the widget to any hive signer you want (even private key auth). We are live! Go to altera.magi.eco and test the first trustless crosschain swaps ever on Hive. This is day 1 software and the pools have shallow liquidity for now so any large swap in relation to pools can move the price. If you have a Xverse and Leather wallet you can now also hold Hive and HBD in Bitcoin wallets. Two days ago we launched the first trustless, non-custodial swaps on Magi with HIVE/HBD and BTC/HBD pools. The launch went better than expected and only minor bugs surfaced that were swiftly dealt with. Right now, we are starting work on UI optimisation for Altera and the Incentive Pendulum that will allow for validators/node runners to start earning rewards for securing the chain. Over the next couple of days, starting with $DASH, $Ethereum and $USDC, we will be adding more liquidity pools.
