Everything I see abt millionaires these days reminds me of the Business Man from the Little Prince who wanted to buy all the stars out of an absurd greed to own everything when it was meaningless

And if you were born before the year 1997 you can go to Hell for doing a whole lot of nothing for future generations & leaving the responsibility of a burning world to kids

I honestly have reached the point where I hate getting advice from older people about anything because they’re so out of touch with our reality that it boggles the mind. You’re telling me it’s not too late at 35 but I’m not sure I’ll live to 35 because of the way the world is

@bakushma Literally… I really hate when people in their 30s and above start telling young people that they have lots of time or tell us about saving or whatever because a carton of eggs is like $10 now, the whole planet is burning and it’s all THEIR fault

Honestly the reason everyone now thinks it’s too late is because most of the people who are in their twenties and below don’t even know if they’re going to live to 30 or 40 or if a nuke or a fire or a tsunami or the explosive diarrhea disease will kill them first

What I like about Lispector is that she doesn’t want you to agree or disagree with her about anything. She writes to express herself and does so freely & I believe Muriel Spark has a similar vibe where she writes what interests her not others. That’s important to be a good writer
