Every person who has ever smiled at you in the streets has committed some act that if you knew about it, would make you profoundly dislike them. We have all been bad, small, petty, unlikeable, cruel, downright mean. Authors are not special "problematic" beings, they're just more public. Part of being an adult is recognizing that without mercy for our fellow human beings, and ourselves, we'd all be condemned to death. Reading fiction should help us understand that we're all irreparably tainted with evil, every system is corrupted, every line is broken. And like, that's okay. That's what it means to be alive.

@TheSketchyKori It's not very fair to compare current artists with old artists that also had it very very hard in their own ways. fuck imagine all of us having to earn a fucking "license" to sell our art and someone watching over our shoulder that we're drawing jesus sexy but not too sexy 😂

@TheSketchyKori Artists for hundreds of years ago were seen as craftmen, they had workshops, they had to belong in a guild of artists, they repeated artworks over and over specially religious figures, and many worked on the style of another person. DaVinci is a weirdo in the pile 😂

I was wondeirng if you just sketching a pretty face for a youtuve short would work... yea it worked... drew for 10 minute of a decent enough portait and the coments treat it like its the most beautiful thing... How fucking weird. i dont think that drawing deseves 5k view in a day

Drawing on cardboard that is supposed to go on the trash is the only way i find to do stream of consciousness drawing. My sketchbooks are too precious and it doesnt feel good on digital.

I went to help holding the door, cuz omg. And i knew for once they wouldn't freak out or be grumpy as some people react to help here (fair cuz insecurity here is getting annoying)
