@Peter_Fitz It was only August last year this happened: "Queensland has become the first state in Australia to criminalise gay conversion therapy after state politicians voted on Thursday to make the practice illegal." A step in the right direction, but need the rest of Aus to catch up soon

@Peter_Fitz Socks - didn't do Kokoda, but did the Syd Oxfam - wore a pair of sport socks (reebocks) then hiking socks (tradies) over the top. Only got a blister at the very end. Jerusalem Bay track a great track for training.

Key tip: in preparation, fill your back-pack with bricks and go up and down hills.
Also put a lot of effort into getting strong, light-weight footwear, that are well worn in. Blisters real problem.
