Water will continue to rise rapidly causing flooding along the shorelines of lakes and rivers throughout the day. Large amounts of rainwater are moving through the Catawba River System from Lake Norman to Lake Wylie through Mountain Island Lake and the Catawba River. @AlyssaM_InfoSec Second for Samaritan’s Purse - local to NC, has boots on the ground; between them and American Red Cross, most local charitable organizations are coordinating through them for relief. Currently roads are so impassible & comms are down, not much way for supplies to arrive yet.

A recent change in fire codes no longer lets residents of apartments put out trash and recycling at the same time to be picked up by their doors. Basically making recycling more difficult……..wouldn’t be surprised if this is contributing.
