On April 12, 2026, the Hungarian nation made history. This unforgettable day marked both the end of a two-decade-long nightmare and the culmination of our shared journey over the past two years - a long march and the awakening of Hungary. We owe gratitude to everyone who contributed in any way to the rebirth of our homeland. Thank you to all who never stopped believing that, together, we could take Hungary back.

We are receiving increasing reports of large-scale document destruction from various ministries, affiliated institutions, and companies close to Fidesz.

Kapitány István és Kármán András társaságában tárgyalást folytattam Hernádi Zsolttal és a MOL felső vezetésével. A MOL részéről megerősítették, hogy hazánk zavartalan üzemanyagellátása a turbulens világpiaci helyzet ellenére is biztosított. Megállapodtunk arról, hogy a védett árat mind a gázolaj, mind a benzin esetén fenntartjuk az új kormány megalakulása után is, és ez a magyar költségvetésre nem fog plusz terhet róni. Felszólítom Orbán Viktort, hogy az üzemanyagokat terhelő jövedéki adó csökkentéséről hozott és április 30-án lejáró rendelkezést a leköszönő kormány május 30-ig hosszabbítsa meg. Tárgyaltam Hernádi Zsolttal a MOL által az MCC részére kifizetni tervezett 25 milliárd forintos osztalékról is. Elnök-vezérigazgató úrral ismertettem a TISZA-kormány terveit e téren. A MOL a vonatkozó jogszabályoknak megfelelően fog eljárni.

Thank you to the National Police Chief for the offer, but I continue to decline personal police protection - whether 24-hour or otherwise. I have had nothing to fear so far, and I intend to work in such a way that I will have nothing to fear in the future. Hungary will become a place where no one who works and lives honestly has to be afraid. Thank you to our police officers for their service.

Today, I will hold talks with Zsolt Hernádi, Chairman-CEO of @MOL_Group. I will request information from him regarding Hungary’s fuel supply security. I expect MOL not to pay the 25 billion forint dividend to @MCC_Budapest.

To the Fidesz leaders, I say this: No matter how much you pretend that nothing has happened, we know what you have done to our homeland and to the Hungarian people. Do not doubt for a moment - “You reap what you sow.”

Under the TISZA government, the Prime Minister’s Office will not be based in the Carmelite Palace in the Castle District, which Viktor Orbán had set up for himself, but in one of the ministry buildings near Parliament.

The employees of the so-called "public" media propaganda machine have been working under constant intimidation and political pressure. After my interview this morning, several of them told me they see TISZA’s victory on April 12 as a form of liberation. Thank you for the warm reception, and I wish strength to those working there in the coming weeks until the political appointees are removed. One of the first measures of the TISZA government will be the immediate suspension of the public media’s news services until all conditions for impartial and objective journalism are fully restored. The TISZA government will ensure press freedom, abolish censorship, and eliminate prohibited state subsidies.

Today, I spoke by phone with the Prime Ministers of Romania, Israel, Ireland, and Portugal. I also held discussions with @pasztorbalint, President of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, and László Gubík, President of the Hungarian Alliance in Slovakia. I invited both presidents to Budapest next week to personally brief them on the TISZA government’s plans regarding national policy. ❤️🤍💚

Today, at the residence of the President of Hungary, I stood beside the portrait of my late godfather, former President of Hungary Ferenc Mádl. This family legacy has been deeply meaningful to me over the past two years, and his guidance will accompany me in my service as Prime Minister. ❤️🤍💚

I have arrived at the Sándor Palace to meet the President of Hungary. @DrTamasSulyok is unworthy of representing the unity of the Hungarian nation. He is unfit to serve as the guardian of legality. He is not fit to serve as a moral authority or a role model. Following the formation of the new government, Tamás Sulyok must leave office immediately.

After a year and a half, I am back in the "public" television studio. We have just witnessed the last days of a propaganda machine. After the formation of the TISZA government, we will suspend the news services of the “public” media until its public service character is restored.

Yesterday, I spoke by phone with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey. President Erdoğan congratulated me on the election victory and sent his best wishes to Hungary and the Hungarian people. We agreed to continue cooperation between our countries in the areas of energy, security policy, trade, and culture. President @RTErdogan invited me to Ankara, and I invited him to Budapest to mark the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution. I received a congratulatory letter from @AndrejBabis, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, and I gladly accepted his invitation to visit Prague. I also spoke by phone with Slovenia’s Prime Minister, Robert Golob, and invited him to Budapest for bilateral talks. Together with @Markus_Soeder, Minister-President of Bavaria, we agreed to further strengthen our bilateral economic and cultural relations. Today, I will also hold several important international consultations. After a year and a half, I will visit Hungary’s public television station and will later meet with President @DrTamasSulyok.
