If RCB wins this season, they’ll have more trophies than Kolkata Knight Riders and will need just 1 more to equal Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings 💀 RCB’s growth in the last 2 years needs to be studied ngl 😭🔥🔥

No way! MI 2020 were the way they were without the cushion of the impact player. Take away the impact player rule, and the strike rate of every batsman in this RCB team goes down by 20-25. Without impact player, Kohli strikes at 125-130 with RCB scoring 170-180, not 230-240.
Anuj Nitin Prabhu@APTalksCricket

I have second thoughts about whether Mumbai Indians 2020 were this good. We are witnessing greatness and probably one more year of the greatest IPL team ever assembled. They have to get the job done on May 31. Else it will be the biggest bottlejob. Just no competition to them.

Same thing again today. Asked Gill twice after he had already said GT were bowling first. And as an “added bonus”, he also said Patidar (RCB) had 20 points from the league stage. His downward slide from screwing up calling the T20 World Cup winning moment has been staggering!
महादादा@mahadada

It’s frankly getting worse. Today at the toss, after Rahane first said they were bowling, after all the questions, at the end Shastri asks Rahane again “so what are you doing after winning the toss?”. And Rahane had to repeat that they’re bowling first. 🤦🏻‍♂️

@aayushgarg01 Asked Gill also what was he doing again after he had already told him he would bowl.

“History” doesn’t secure the financial future of Jofra Archer and his family. His IPL salary does.
Dave Nosworthy@DONCRICKET

WHAT DO YOU THINK, any truth in this…: Sir Ian Botham: “History remembers legendary Test careers not Franchise triumph’s…” 🧐🏏👌 Personally I lean towards being on the same page as #IanBotham - as can’t even remember who won the last 3 years #IPL Tournaments - yet, I do remember that @BeefyBotham scored just under 20000 1st Class runs and 1172 1st Class wickets in 402 matches in his career at @SomersetCCC @WorcsCCC and @DurhamCricket 👏🏏😳 #cricket

@rajatahir27 As proud as a father is of his son, this tweet was nothing but veiled sarcasm at the LSG team management (and of course at Goenka) for not playing Arjun earlier in the season.

If you read this tweet without looking at the IPL table, you’d think LSG just qualified for the playoffs. And if you read it without looking at the scorecard, you’d think Arjun just bowled a double-maiden hat-trick to save the franchise. Reality: LSG finished dead last at the bottom of the table, and the boy bowled a 1/36 spell.😭💀
Sachin Tendulkar@sachin_rt

Well done, Arjun. ❤️ Proud of the way you’ve carried yourself through this season, always believing in your ability, staying patient, working hard quietly, and remaining positive despite having to wait for your opportunity till the very last match. Cricket tests patience as much as skill, and you handled both beautifully today. Keep your feet on the ground, and continue being in love with the game like you always have. Love you always.👏

Moving forward (for next season), MI should rethink batting Naman Dhir at 3. I think Jacks is more suited to no. 3 to use the powerplay, and Dhir can be a finisher. If not Jacks, then SKY should be batting at 3. But not Dhir.

@KishoreKV @FarziCricketer If you want TV commentary, sit at home and watch it on the TV. Why waste your time and money going to the stadium only to listen to the terrible TV commentary?

@FarziCricketer Single best thing that could improve match viewing experience in a stadium is to have the TV commentary piped in, instead of the obnoxious DJs babbling inane shit every ball.

Don’t think CSK were favorites at all, never mind overwhelming, considering MI’s momentum and string of results coming into the final. Including hammering CSK in Qualifier 1.
Anuj Nitin Prabhu@APTalksCricket

CSK were OVERWHELMING favorites. But after losing Parthiv early..Rohit Sharma decided to counter punch the best bowling attack and bamboozled them. CSK just never recovered. 2015 was the one true instance of MI captain "bulldozing" CSK in an IPL final.

This has got to be the most absurd BS. Dhawan didn’t voluntarily “sacrifice” his place. Not the like the selectors picked him and he declined the offer to say “pick Gill in my place”. As long as Rohit is fit and scoring runs, there’s no reason he should be “sacrificing” anything.
AdityaRRaj@RR_for_LIFE

Just like Dhawan sacrificed his place for Shubman Gill and didn't even utter a word when he was dropped less than a year before the WC, Rohit should do the same for Jaiswal.
