Day 13 of talking about @heyshellmates and every day I keep seeing a bigger picture. @Ty0xide said something today that really stood out. Shellmates isn’t being built as just another NFT collection. The vision goes beyond PFPs. Think bigger. Cute turtles that can live on merch, animations, stickers, GIFs, and content even people outside crypto would actually enjoy and share. That’s how real brands are built. Real personality. Long-term thinking. Community at the center. Web3 needs more projects focused on building something that lasts instead of chasing short-term hype. 4 days to mint and no WL 👀🐢 Excited to watch @heyshellmates grow. Who’s coming along for the journey?

There are many collections that should actually learn from this. When a project starts getting attention on the timeline, there are always people who make early calls, create content, and consistently support the project. But eventually, when allocation time comes, they get nothing. The question isn’t why every supporter can’t get spots. I completely understand that it’s impossible to reward every single early supporter, and it’s also difficult to choose only a few. But the real issue starts when people who had nothing to do with the project, never supported it, or never contributed anything end up getting large allocations. Things like friends & family allocations and favoritism might work short term, but honestly, it’s a bad approach long term. Eventually, projects will stop getting genuine support from people. Founders and marketers who handle this side should really understand this properly. It’s not a difficult thing to understand, it just requires the right mindset and some common sense.
