@kaylassera it’s quite interesting, because it seems to be mutually beneficial. for disney, it can widen its reach by tapping into current trends. spotify, of course, gets even more attention for their already successful campaign

@kaylassera @TwitterBlue I think that the app is going to largely be a political war zone, with lots of fake information going around. I guess we’ll see how good people are at assessing the validity of a news article. It’ll definitely be interesting to see how politicians and media use Twitter now.

With recent light of @TwitterBlue $8 blue check mark, there were various accounts posing as others to spread fake news. As this is one hiccup demonstrated through the leadership change of Twitter, how do you see the app altering from here? #coms325f22

I have been following the news of the recent attack on Pelosi’s husband. In class we talked about the ease of misinformation spread online-I think this article effectively debunks false claims of this attack and shows how easy it is for lies to spread in media #coms325f22

@taryn_r_cunn oh FOR SURE. it’s funny how we just talked about micro/macro/mega influencers and the hierarchy of influencers depending on their popularity. we’ll start to see less niche influencers and more mainstream ones…it’s an interesting social phenomenon

Did y’all feel the earthquake earlier today? Immediately after I felt it, I went to Twitter to confirm and saw #earthquake was trending. It is crazy to see how fast people turn to social media/how quickly news can spread online #coms325f22
