My 2nd home Camp Lake 42 miles West of Arviat, this is where i grew up every summer with my family, the place where my heart is happy, can’t wait till Sept to hunt caribou there, Pic taken last fall by my son.

5-30-24, Kotzebue, Alaska, I was cast netting by Walker's earlier, learning how to throw that net. I was doing good, getting more and more. I was at the ice edge just a little ways from shore. Yesterday I was there with a dip net and tested the depth, over 10' and very swift current. As I was cast netting today, the ice edge broke and I went through. I immediately grabbed the edge of the ice and hollered, "Help!". Sean Foster came running over grabbed me and started to pull., He fell through in the water, pulled himself out and then pulled me out. In other words, he rescued me singlehandedly. Other people were watching but didn't help. Sean Foster was the only one. Josh Hadley and his coworker drove me home and I put dry clothes on. So, I got bunch of herring, got wet and cold, got rescued and a second water cleaning today. Sorry, my enemies, I'm still alive.

My son is having a great time in Rankin, he is doing good at his schooling at aviation course in Rankin, he and his instructor we’ll be flying to Arviat this summer and I can’t wait to see him land to his home town.
