A nearly 2,000-year-old ancient Shu road 古蜀道 in Sichuan stretches in fragments for about 150 kilometers from Langzhong to Chengdu. Lined with thousand-year-old cypress trees and running alongside a modern highway, it has become a hiker’s paradise.

I've never related to the whole, "Asia is so cheap!" thing because I could never relate to moving halfway around the world, just to live in a tiny shoebox apartment, eat street food daily, and ride motorbikes in super dangerous conditions LMAO. Yes Asian megacities do offer better quality of living but to properly enjoy them, in terms of high end homes, actually riding around in cars, eating at great restaurants, traveling whenever you want, treating people you like to good experiences, you need to be at minimum 8K+ Month USD in monthly earnings IMO. The game is the game everywhere, to really enjoy life, gotta be stacking it.

Continued the second leg of my self imposed “walk across Lanzhou” challenge I first did ages ago. 22 km across Lanzhou to end up at a small mosque on the very edge of the city.

@kypriotis1895 @tunient I have 6 weeks off of work for CNY each year. Beijing subway is slick. All of the cities I used the metro a ton.

@maityman @tunient So, a total of around three weeks? Did you use the whole year’s leave days at once? I guess not, since we are not even halfway through the year. How, is public transport in these cities? Heard some chatter about the Beijing subway system, but never looked further into it.
