One on the left is Leaf matrix micro etched gold and the other one is Pinnacle rink collection AP. There is no doubt Dufex wins all the time #icollectpinnacle
@CoachDPorter Dufex work in progress. 1994 they still were figuring things out. No clothes engraving and just basic starburst behind the player. The year after the engraving was more refined and improved. This year is nice but I like hockey better.
@WhiteHouse USA bought Danish Virgin Islands in 1917 from Denmark and promised to NEVER touch Greenland. Its a written agreement in the archive so look it up.
“Now, after Centuries, it is time for Denmark to give back — World Peace is at stake! China & Russia want Greenland, & there is not a thing that Denmark can do about it... The United States of America is immediately open to negotiation with Denmark and/or any of these Countries...” - President Trump
@OTB_Cards@mcfarm21 Panini owns it but they say distributors hates it so no real product has been made since 2013. Maybe because they can not replicate Dufex. They sneak in a card here and there at times. Here is one from wnba Donruss 2025 with a callback to 1997 Pinnacle inside.
@imoMitchCards@brandeezy_c Sweet! I think i have one as well. It is not double dufex but it got foil back as it was impossible to make dufex on the back of a card so it just have a silver back. Double dufex are two front sides glued together.
@imoMitchCards@CoachDPorter Yes, Topps 2000 Dufex. In a way reversed back to basic to what 1993 Select was. Dufex had a silver base so just printing over that base without any player or design engraving was the cheapest dufex you could buy. Two years later it got much better.
@yanxchick It is said there is the same vendor who print all chrome cards today but with a exclusive license they always search for cheaper alternatives.
Has anyone noticed the newer Topps Chrome cards seem different? They don't smell like syrup anymore. They don't curve. Card stock seems different. Maybe less gloss.
