I...along with alot of players and creators are extremely frustrated and probably play out of what the previous Tekken games done for us. It built alot of friendships, showed us about competitive scene, we grew skills together over the years. Toning down the game would be a win win for everyone imo.

@majinjohnwright What makes it even worse is that bro is SO SKILLED it borders near superhuman. Literally no one has better small Tekken fundies than Ulsan. To see such a guy second-guess his achievements really hurts, and tells volumes about the disgraceful mechanical state of T8.

A lot of people say they just got lucky when they win, and unlucky when they lose. I’ve won EWC twice, and i said lucky it’s not because I’m humble genuinely felt like I was really lucky I want to be able to say, that I’m the best when I win. Thats why i want Tekken change soon🙏

@AryaTayebi @maximilian_ I often call it "sterile" game design. It feels like every interaction has been curated by the devs and should one that they did not forsee arise, expect it to be removed.

A lot of modern fighting games feel overdesigned. You can feel the developer's hand everywhere. Systems layered on systems, constant nudges pushing you how you're supposed to play.
They're so busy trying to be spectator friendly eSports that they end up worse to play and watch.

@NovaSeiken When you cant confirm your skill in a fighting game. In my opinion that game is not sustainable for long term investment.
Defo feel for players who have made a career of this series because they are at the whim of the dev team when it comes to gameplay.

There is not much the pro players can do when they earn a living through the game
But it's good to know what they actually feel: for an athlete, it must hit so HARD to have you second guess your own achievements due to how volatile the game is... 😕

@majinjohnwright @AryaTayebi I comparison is the thief of joy. I was raised on Alpha 3 , tekken 3, early blazblue, so I know we’ve had better times but fighting games are still pretty damn good.

I'm really struggling to understand the intention behind the #Vf5revo Goh changes in the most recent patch.
6K nerf seems a bit far, don't see why it needs to be -10 AND lose damage
The 2_3P+K nerf is baffling to me, I don't understand the purpose of this move anymore.

@Keenansthoughts Yes but they buffed his stance transitions mainly to incentivise players to just go the stance route. You could play like season 1 sure but its literally suboptimal due to the strength of his stances imo.

Unpopular opinion: Victor didn’t turn into "stance slop”. Players did. You can still play him like S1, solid, fundamentals-based and more fun even if it's harder to win. But people lean on stance 50/50s instead so now, ranked is flooded with that playstyle.

In VF, “The Triangle System” is just a foundational heuristic to ease players into understanding and is not a confining system.
Many early defensive tactics, fuzzy guard, throw escaping, Sabaki’s beat multiple points on the triangle.
This misunderstanding is pervasive.
