I personally know several people who have changed their opinions on abortion, having been confronted with the gruesome facts.

They have to face the true facts! There is a point at which a fetus is nothing more than a clump of cells, and then there is of course the point at which the fetus is formed. Pointing out one doesn’t imply ignorance of the other, just the perspective the individual has on the matter.

It’s perfectly reasonable as an approach. Giving the detail of e.g. what happens during “child abuse” is also legitimate.

I believe in stringent restrictions around how and when abortions should be performed, but the way he is trying to make that point is just bad.

I agree that the process is horrific, but trying to gross a person out with the details is not a strong argument, there is better logic.
