SPRING BALL RECAP - OREM TIGERS I first want to thank the coaches that trust me to help their players get seen, and allowed me to come by for their practice. Not every program does a good job of helping maximize opportunities for their players, but these guys definitely do. HERE IS WHAT I SAW: Orem has a very talented roster, this is no secret. I’m on record saying that their offensive and defensive line is the most talented group I’ve seen - I stand by that. Although I am highly impressed with the players they have, the big thing that stood out was the CULTURE. Coach Andy Stokes was a home run hire for this team, his imprint was clear to me right away. The players are bought in, the coaching staff is very detailed, and there is a standard of excellence that will translate to W’s on Friday nights. I also appreciate seeing former Utah Utes Spencer and Logan Fano helping the players and being a resource for them. This is something that makes a difference and isn’t present everywhere. The entire atmosphere felt professional, I’m impressed with what they have going and look forward to being back. WHO STOOD OUT? Unfortunately not all of the top talent was available today, including the best OL prospect in the state - Maui Tonata (2028) - but there were still several guys that made an impression. 1. Taio Fano, OL - 2028 @FanoTaio I’ve seen Taio compete at different events and I’ve always been impressed. Today he showed me a leadership quality that I hadn’t seen. He was bringing great energy to the session and upped the level of competition for everyone. This is a potential 5 ⭐️ prospect, he will be one that every college program wants - book it. 2. Brooks Ross, WR - 2027 @BrooksRoss2009 Brooks was the primary standout for me at the skill positions today . I’ve also seen him compete at other events and he keeps showing me next level potential. He was very effective in the team period where showcased his obvious speed and versatility. He was always getting separation and does not drop passes. He will be one of the best players in the state this year. 3. Krew Jones & Major Stokes - EDGE @KrewJones1 @majorstokes32 I was eager to see arguably the best duo in the country at work on the same team. Let’s just say… you won’t be able to block these guys. It’s that simple. The potential on that side of the ball is crazy, and the addition of these 2 players will present a challenge that I don’t see answers for with any OL group they will face. Add in the fact that they also have D1 talents MJ Bateman (2027, EDGE/LB), Jag Ioane (2027 EDGE, LB), and Boston Kojima (2028, DL)… It starts to get daunting. The Tigers will need to put all the pieces together but the CULTURE tells me that won’t be a problem. Look for this team to compete for a championship this season. Appreciate the time fellas! @CoachAndyStokes @OremFBOfficial @binghamf @MJBateman04 @jagioane_ @Boston_Kojima @FanoSpencer @LoganFano @CoachSenga
